The CALMLS, or California MLS, a statewide database of property being offered for sale all across the state, is coming to California in 2010.  It is the intention of Sebastian Gibson Properties to ensure that we are part of this exciting new way to buy and sell property in California once it is operating.

As of January 26, 2009, sixty-six local realtor associations and three regional MLS systems have signed letters of intent to take part in the still being formed CALMLS.

CALMLS, short for California MLS, will enable brokers and agents across the state of California to access data from all over the state instead of being limited to data from their own local or regional MLS.

Once CALMLS is operating, brokers, agents and Realtors will be able to find information about every single property in California instead of just the property within their own MLS system as they are now in July 2009.

CALMLS in 2010, according to reports, will enable brokers, agents and Realtors to access the statewide data on the MLS through their own regional MLS. Agents and brokers with listings of properties on their own regional MLS will then be able to have those listings be part of the statewide data on the CALMLS, thus enabling buyers and their agents to search for property all across the state and enabling sellers to have much wider visibility of the property they are selling.

Until the CALMLS is a reality, Sebastian Gibson Properties still enables buyers to search for property all across the desert area mls, which includes property not only in the Coachella Valley, but also along the coast of Southern California.
